featuring author Susan Juby
Watch it HERE Friday, May 2

Susan Juby is Canadian novelist and author of 10 fiction books. She is most widely known for her work in young adult fiction including the series, “Alice, I Think.” She is also a creative writing teacher at Vancouver Island University. She lives with her husband James and puppy, Rodeo, on Vancouver Island.

What's the best snack for working?
Susan: Coffee. That's a snack, right?

Do you prefer to work in silence or to music?
Susan: I used to like to work in silence, but we just got a new puppy and he is sedated by classical music. So now I listen to classical music or the yipping of a canine infant.

What's the best advice you've ever received?
Susan: Before I started writing in earnest, I was doing a lot of talking about writing and I asked a well-known Canadian writer for advice. He told me to stop talking and start writing. I was hugely offended at his impertinence, but he was correct.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A writer and a costume designer.

Check out Susan's full interview next Friday
